    TOWARDS APPLYING A MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE SOLUTION ON MULTI-LEVEL CLASSES: A CASE STUDY OF TWO ORAL ACTIVITY LESSONS IN FRENCH SUBJECT

    This work was motivated by the idea of ​​approaching teaching practice in multilevel classes based on a problem, namely the need to improve the management of time in these types of classes. The time management strategy, developed in this work, consists of applying two modes of alternating teaching, the classical mode "work and make work" and the "actual - virtual" presence of the teacher mode using the software Netsupport School. The aim of this paper is to study the impact of the application of this software solution in two heterogeneous lessons of the French language, specifically of oral activity, for a subgroup of a double-level class (2nd Primary Year + 3rd Primary Year). The obtained results are conclusive since this approach has made it possible to reduce dead time and the teacher's great effort and to involve strongly the learners in the construction of the concepts

    Limitations of radiosensitization by direct telomerase inhibition to treat high-risk medulloblastoma

    Medulloblastoma (MB) is the most common malignant pediatric brain tumor. Previous studies have elucidated the genomic landscape of MB leading to the recognition of four core molecular subgroups (WNT, SHH, group 3 and group 4) with distinct clinical outcomes. Group 3 has the worst prognosis of all MB. Radiotherapy (RT) remains a major component in the treatment of poor prognosis MB but is rarely curative alone and is associated with acute and long-term toxicities. A hallmark of cancer cells is their unlimited proliferative potential which correlates closely with telomere length. The vast majority of malignant tumors activate telomerase to maintain telomere length, whereas this activity is barely detectable in most normal human somatic tissues, making telomerase inhibition a rational therapeutic target in the setting of cancer recurrence and therapy resistance. We and others have previously shown that short telomeres confer sensitivity to ionizing radiation (IR) suggesting that telomerase inhibition mediated telomere shortening will improve the efficacy of RT while minimizing its side effects. Here, we investigated the efficacy of the combination of IR with IMT, a potent telomerase inhibitor, in an in vivo model of group 3 MB. Our results indicate that although IMT inhibited MB telomerase activity resulting in telomere shortening and delayed tumor growth, the combination with IR did not prevent tumor recurrence and did not improve survival compared to the treatment with IR alone. Together, these findings suggest that the radiosensitization by direct telomerase inhibition is not an effective approach to treat high-risk pediatric brain tumors

    Bidirectional quantum teleportation of even and odd coherent states through the multipartite Glauber coherent state: Theory and implementation

    Quantum teleportation has become a fundamental building block of quantum technologies, playing a vital role in the development of quantum communication networks. Here, we present a bidirectional quantum teleportation (BQT) protocol that enables even and odd coherent states to be transmitted and reconstructed over arbitrary distances in two directions. To this end, we employ the multipartite Glauber coherent state, comprising the Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger, ground and Werner states, as a quantum resource linking distant partners Alice and Bob. The pairwise entanglement existing in symmetric and antisymmetric multipartite coherent states is explored, and by controlling the overlap and number of probes constructing various types of quantum channels, the teleportation efficiency of teleported states in both directions may be maximized. Besides, Alice's and Bob's trigger phases are estimated to explore their roles in our protocol using two kinds of quantum statistical speed referred to as quantum Fisher information (QFI) and Hilbert-Schmidt speed (HSS). Specifically, we show that the lower bound of the statistical estimation error, quantified by QFI and HSS, corresponds to the highest fidelity from Alice to Bob and conversely from Bob to Alice, and that the choice of the pre-shared quantum channel has a critical role in achieving high BQT efficiency. Finally, we show how to implement the suggested scheme on current experimental tools, where Alice can transfer her even coherent state to Bob, and at the same time, Bob can transfer his odd coherent state to Alice

    L’image dans les pratiques enseignantes en classes de sciences

    Cette recherche consiste à étudier et à comprendre l’usage des images par les professeurs de sciences, et à déterminer les difficultés qu’ils rencontrent face à cette pratique. Quatre-vingt-cinq professeurs de sciences ont été interrogés par le biais d’une enquête en ligne. Les résultats ont montré que la plupart des enquêtés reconnaissent l'importance de l'utilisation des représentations visuelles en classe, mais considèrent leur rôle comme un simple moyen de transmettre des connaissances scientifiques plutôt que de les construire. Les enseignants préféraient une utilisation des images centrée sur l'enseignant plutôt que sur l'apprenant. Les difficultés que les enseignants rencontrent face à l’usage des images ont été classées en quatre catégories, selon qu'elles sont liées à l’enseignant, aux apprenants, aux caractéristiques de l’image ou au manque du matériel nécessaire. Les perceptions limitées des enseignants sur le rôle des images ont été associées aux manières de les utiliser dans leurs pratiques enseignantes

    As a generalisation of the correspondence linking 2D integrable systems with 4D Chern-Simons (CS) gauge theory, superspin chains are realized by means of crossing electric and magnetic super line defects in the 4D CS with super gauge symmetry. The oscillator realization of Lax operators solving the RLL relations of integrability is obtained in the gauge theory by extending the notion of Levi decomposition to Lie superalgebras. Based on particular 3-gradings of Lie superalgebras, we obtain graded oscillator Lax matrices for superspin chains with internal symmetries given by A(m−1∣n−1)A(m-1\mid n-1), B(m∣n)B(m\mid n), C(n)C(n) and $D(m\mid n)

    New Blended Learning Strategy Based on Flipped-Learning for Vocational Work-Linked Training

    In a changing Moroccan educational landscape, Addressing teaching development needs is becoming a major issue in vocational work-linked Training. In this context, this paper present a new blended learning strategy based on the flipped classroom, using a social learning platform as support. Through this strategy, we increased the time dedicated to regulation by the implementation of a self-regulation and a co-regulation online in first time, and other regulation in classroom. The result showed that this strategy guides and increases the time of initial training, and improve the efficiency, performance of student teachers while supporting teaching needs and self-learning skills.     Pedagogical innovation and the development of 21st century skills and sustainable development in the teaching and learning of life and earth sciences in Morocco

    The world of education in the 21st century is undergoing transformations that affect teaching methods and learning styles. The Moroccan education system is at the heart of this movement, demonstrating its will and institutional commitment through the pedagogical integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) into the teaching-learning process. However, a number of studies have shown that this integration into learning and assessment activities in life and earth sciences (LES) remains very weak, if not absent, in qualifying secondary and college education. To pedagogically innovate teaching practice in LES, our research comes to help teachers and innovative designers conceive digital resources to develop 21st century skills in LES. To meet the objective of our research, a questionnaire was drawn up and sent to 200 teachers in the various regional education and training academies of the Kingdom of Morocco. Analysis of the results showed that teachers’ awareness of these skills in general, and those specific to LES in particular, was moderate and that in-service and pre-service teacher training, the design of multi-level and multi-type digital resources, and curriculum reform are very important elements in reinforcing 21st century skills in the digital teaching-learning of LES

    Clinical, radiologic, pathologic, and molecular characteristics of long-term survivors of diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG): a collaborative report from the International and European Society for Pediatric Oncology DIPG registries

    Purpose Diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) is a brainstem malignancy with a median survival of < 1 year. The International and European Society for Pediatric Oncology DIPG Registries collaborated to compare clinical, radiologic, and histomolecular characteristics between short-term survivors (STSs) and long-term survivors (LTSs). Materials and Methods Data abstracted from registry databases included patients from North America, Australia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, and Croatia. Results Among 1,130 pediatric and young adults with radiographically confirmed DIPG, 122 (11%) were excluded. Of the 1,008 remaining patients, 101 (10%) were LTSs (survival ≥ 2 years). Median survival time was 11 months (interquartile range, 7.5 to 16 months), and 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-year survival rates were 42.3% (95% CI, 38.1% to 44.1%), 9.6% (95% CI, 7.8% to 11.3%), 4.3% (95% CI, 3.2% to 5.8%), 3.2% (95% CI, 2.4% to 4.6%), and 2.2% (95% CI, 1.4% to 3.4%), respectively. LTSs, compared with STSs, more commonly presented at age < 3 or > 10 years (11% v 3% and 33% v 23%, respectively; P < .001) and with longer symptom duration ( P < .001). STSs, compared with LTSs, more commonly presented with cranial nerve palsy (83% v 73%, respectively; P = .008), ring enhancement (38% v 23%, respectively; P = .007), necrosis (42% v 26%, respectively; P = .009), and extrapontine extension (92% v 86%, respectively; P = .04). LTSs more commonly received systemic therapy at diagnosis (88% v 75% for STSs; P = .005). Biopsies and autopsies were performed in 299 patients (30%) and 77 patients (10%), respectively; 181 tumors (48%) were molecularly characterized. LTSs were more likely to harbor a HIST1H3B mutation (odds ratio, 1.28; 95% CI, 1.1 to 1.5; P = .002). Conclusion We report clinical, radiologic, and molecular factors that correlate with survival in children and young adults with DIPG, which are important for risk stratification in future clinical trials
